Ultimate Christmas Cosy Day

Many of you may remember that a few weeks ago I did a post all about my ‘Ultimate Cosy Night In’, well, today I am back with a Christmas edition. The most crucial part of the Christmas edition is of course, the Christmas movies and there is nothing better than snuggling up under a blanket in front of a TV such as hd televisions Panasonic, like the one I have.

It’s safe to say it isย definitely winter now and with university quickly coming to an end for the holidays, I am very excited at the prospects of staying inside all day watching Christmas films.

You can join me too, as below you will find all the ingredients for the ‘Ultimate Christmas Cosy Day’:

Handmade Christmas treats:

Yesterday morning, pre-cosy movie time I started the day by baking some delicious gingerbread biscuits. They made the house smell absolutely amazing by the way! Treats like this are so quick and simple to make yet they make the perfect addition to a good movie.

Plus, if you’re looking for a drastic way to keep warm all you need to do is pop the oven on and make some treats! The recipe for these will be up later on in Blogmas so keep your eyes peeled – for now though you can have a look at some of my past baking adventures.

Christmas themed pyjamas / onesie:

You canย neverย have too much Christmas. My penguin and Christmas pudding onesies always make me feel super cosy and warm, plus they’re festive too!

I don’t know about you but I can’t ever sit and enjoy a movie properly in ‘normal’ clothes, if it were socially acceptable to go to the cinema in a onesie or pyjamas believe me, I would! Have you got a festive onesie like me? Has anyone seen ‘The Grinch’ pyjamas in Primark at the moment, I absolutely love them so may have to treat myself a little!

Christmas Films:

You’re probably laughing by this point becauseย duh obviously to have a cosy movie day you need Christmas movies! I went to see the new version of ‘The Grinch’ in cinema the other day with my sister but I can never resist popping on the original and that is just what I did yesterday.

Some of the films I love are ‘Elf, ‘The Polar Express’, ‘The Holiday’ and of course ‘Love Actually’ – although, in my opinion that film canย definitely be watched all year round! I watch it all year round anyway! There are so many other films I could have mentioned (and will mention later on in Blogmas with a ‘Festive Film Favourites’ post) but as you can see from the photographs I have a lot of choice!

Festive Hot Chocolate:

If you have followed my blog for a while now you will 100% know how much I love hot chocolate so naturally it had to be included! There is nothing better than some marshmallows to go on top of a delicious hot chocolate and it’s even more enjoyable in a festive Father Christmas mug! It’s so sad in January when the Christmas mugs get put away and they’re replaced with boring normal ones.

You could even add a little spice to your hot chocolate to make it even more festive, I love adding Chocolate stirrers to mine (basically just blocks of chocolate on a stick) so hopefully Father Christmas will bring me some of those too!

Festive Furnishings:

I absolutely adore Christmas – shock, I know! My entire family does and as you can see in the photographs we have plenty of Christmas furnishings to decorate the house with. We’ve yet to put our tree up but believe me when we do, we go all out! We have festive cushions, blankets, mugs, placemats and all of our festive friends come out from the loft and join in the celebrations.

You may spot the little Father Christmas and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer teddies in some of the photographs. I remember so vividly that every Christmas me and my siblings would fight over who got to have them in their rooms.

I hope you have all enjoyed reading this ‘Ultimate Christmas Cosy Day’, if anyone needs me I will be curled up under a blanket, probably watching ‘Elf’ for the one-hundredth time!

What festive treats would you make for your cosy day?
