Christmas Ideal Home Show

Ask yourself how much Christmas one person can fit into a post, now double it, that’s how much Christmas you’ll find in this! A few weeks ago now I was offered the chance to go to the Christmas Ideal Home Show and naturally I couldn’t say no!

I had never been before but my parents went a few years back and enjoyed it so I took them along with me and we had such a fun, festive filled day! There were so many areas to explore, from the ‘Eat and Drink’ section full of festive foods, the Decorations section, the Toys part and so many more!

I’ll be sharing a few of my favourite sections with you today and also showing you the few little bits we picked up on the day.

The Show Itself:

The show itself was definitely not what I was expecting, I knew I was going to be greeted by all things Christmas but there was anΒ insane amount! You can see from the photograph below just how big the arena was and that was only one part! There were so many Christmas trees dotted around and even a bandstand where carol singers sung festive songs!

Insane Festive Foods:

Now, I can’t lie, one of the best sections was the ‘Eat and Drink’ area, we all enjoyed a pulled pork with sage and onion stuffing bun for lunch. Doesn’t that sound divine? However, the most festive foods were found when we came across the competition area with some incredible home-made cakes!

I took some photographs of my favourites – I can only dream of creating something like this, I think the Grinch ones were the best!

That wasn’t all of them though!

We turned the corner and found this! A gingerbread house, aΒ lifesize gingerbread house! I just wanted to take a huge bite out of it! I actually made some gingerbread for Blogmas Day 3 so have a look here if you want to see my creation. Sadly, it’s not as big as the one at the show!

Our purchases:

Now, surprising as it may be to some of you reading this, we didn’t actually come away with that many purchases.

I bought some star cookie cutters and Mum and Dad bought THE cutest snowman on skis which Dad luckily found under the table of one of the stalls.

I will include some more photographs down below but overall we had such a lovely day. Copious amounts of hot chocolate were consumed and we had such a nice time wandering round having a look at everything to offer. There was even a barn owl there!

I would like to thank Ideal Home Show Christmas for gifting me the tickets for me and my parents to experience the event.

Let me know if you went along too, we might have just missed each other!

Disclaimer:

I was gifted these tickets under the premise that I shared my experience on social media, all thoughts and opinions remain my own.

This sounds like such a fun & festive way to spend the day! Life-sized gingerbread house?! That’s incredible! That pulled pork sounds SO. GOOD. Especially as I sit here–it’s 5:30 pm here in California, & I’ve not eaten since 11 am :’) Also, I love your scarf!! Where is it from?!
