Autumn Q&A

It’s officially Autumn so I thought what a better way to celebrate than to do an Autumn Q&A? I had a little bit of a break from posting blogs as I was getting ready to start back at University, hopefully you’re all still here to read them!

Questions were gathered from Twitter friends, I can’t wait for you to read them and know my answers. Let’s go!

Do you have any Autumn traditions? (@Lifewithmelly_)

I’m not too sure about traditions per say but I love the fact that you can wear endless amounts of jumpers (maybe not at once) and you can definitely drink endless cups of hot chocolate without judgement. Other than that I wouldn’t say so but my family used to celebrate Halloween in our own special way each year which you can probably class as a tradition?

Would you rather: pumpkin spice latte or hot chocolate? (@BloggerOrdinary)

Very silly question, hot chocolate every single time – of course. I live off it basically 99% of the time anyway so naturally autumn / winter is no different. Plus, don’t hate me but I’m not a fan of pumpkin flavoured things…

If you could travel anywhere to see Autumn colours where would you go? What’s one recipe that reminds you of Autumn? (@longroadtowalk)

Now, I’m not too sure about where I’d travel to see autumn colours if I could go anywhere but one place I have visited in the past which is simple beautiful in Autumn is Sheffield Park. Sheffield Park and Garden in Uckfield is a National Trust garden and all of the trees look absolutely amazing in with their bright colours.

A recipe which reminds me of Autumn is one which also reminds me of Christmas, that’s because my Mum always starts making our Christmas cakes in October. Even though I’m away from home at uni I’m always included in a stir of the mix and making a wish before it goes in the oven.

What’s your favourite Autumn look? What smell reminds you of Autumn? (@lucyrambles)

Is anything with a jumper an acceptable answer as that is pretty much what I wear from about August onwards…

What is your favourite thing about Autumn? What do you look forward to in Autumn? (@StealTheMGaming)

My favourite thing about Autumn is the fact that it is starting to get colder and that you’re able to wear endless amounts of jumpers. I basically live in them anyway! My Mum made me a knitted jumper last year and it’s one of my absolute favourites!

Autumn also means that Christmas isn’t too far away so what doesn’t make you happy about that? That’s pretty much what I look forward to too, oh and the hot chocolates and changing colours of the trees!

When you apple bob do you hang them from string & eat with hands behind back or submerge them in water & dive for them? (@Derbyshireduck)

First of all, this question is fabulous! When I was younger and celebrated Halloween with my family we didn’t go trick or treating, instead we stayed at home and celebrated ourselves with Halloween themed foods and of course apple bobbing. Apple bobbing in the traditional, dunk your head into water and drown a little trying to retrieve an apple (I’m gutted there is no photograph evidence)!

What is your dream Halloween costume? What is your favourite Halloween movie? (@ElaEliBest)

I was actually very proud of my Halloween costume from my first year of university, I dressed up as Darla from Finding Nemo – IΒ  have the hair! It was one of my best moments the first time I had properly dressed up for Halloween, besides as a child with a witch hat and cape!

My favourite Halloween movie is definitely Casper, it reminds me of my childhood too as I used to watch it loads, plus he’s a cute ghost! I don’t do horror or ‘traditional’ Halloween movies if you hadn’t guessed…

  4. What a great way to celebrate your love of fall. That Darla costume is great! I’m a hot chocolate girl myself. I do like pumpkin flavored things, but since I kind of hate coffee it makes pumpkin spiced lattes just gross to me.

This was such a fun read! Jumpers are definitely cozy and a big plus for autumn/winter!! Autumn colours are amazing – my favourite would have to be in Japan though – they go crazy about nature that way – coloured leaves in autumn, cherry blossoms in spring… Makes you step back and appreciate the little things πŸ™‚
