Published Artist and More…

Happy Sunday everyone! This post is a little different to those I have posted before. Truth be told I’m actually quite nervous for you to read it. I have a secret, which isn’t so secret to some people but others may have absolutely no idea… This secret is ‘Imogen Marshall Artwork’.

What am I talking about:

Let’s cut a long story short. I have always had a passion for art and drawing and in 2016 I started drawing commissions of people / animals, specifically pets. It is something I absolutely love doing and it is an extra source of income for me. Something which is always helpful when you’re a student.

I started drawing when I was little but truth be told I wasn’t very good. It was only in high school that I started to enjoy it more and I ended up taking it for GCSE. Since then I have always doodled here and there but I never thought of trying to make any money out of it. Until, my parents and some friends suggested it! One thing I do know is I regret not taking it as one of my A Level’s. Don’t ask me why I didn’t!

I think the reason I haven’t shared this before (aside from the odd post on Twitter) is simply because I’m nervous of what people may say. You know how the internet can be and I don’t want to come across like I’m bragging, or anything like that.

If you would like a drawing done please do not hesitate to get in touch, the deadline for Christmas orders is the 7th December.

I’m A Published Artist?

You are probably wondering about the title though? I have actually been fortunate enough to have my work published in two poetry books! The books are called ‘Figure in the Mist’ and ‘Windmills and Paperboats’. A friend, Catherine Broughton, had her writing published and she helped me get my art published! Still can’t believe something like this happened to me!

Hopefully you have enjoyed this mini gallery of my work and if you would like to have a look at some more then be sure to check out my Facebook page here and on my Twitter page here.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on my work, so let me know what you think in the comments section!

When I lived in LDN ages ago one of my side gigs was as an illustrator. I had an agent who got me quite a bit of work. I think the agency was The Organisation. Not sure if they are still around, but I’m sure there are plenty others like that you might be interested in for getting some work. Best of luck! xx
