Who remembers the blizzard that hit the UK at the beginning of the year? I do, purely because I got stuck in it whilst out taking photographs. You may wonder what relevance this has on this post. Well, Mum loved one of the photographs I took on that day so much she surprised me and turned it into Christmas cards!
This post will be all about those Christmas cards, as we added glitter to give the snow that little extra festive touch. Enjoy! (If you’re a family member and you’ve yet to receive a card from us, look away now!)
Making your own Christmas cards is so simple and so effective. Mum ordered the cards, added some text inside and on the back and we bought some glue and glitter and added the final touches. All we did was add little glue blobs, added glitter and it makes the card sparkle and I think the cards look really good!
Here are some photographs of us adding the final touches to the Christmas cards:
First we added drops of glue to different parts of the card. We tried to make them different sizes so the glittered areas were different sizes too, like snowflakes.
Then we shook glitter over the card and the glue, tapping the excess off.
The finished product:
We were really chuffed with the final product and can’t wait for our family and friends to receive their cards in the post. It feels very special to have my photograph used for something like this and for my name to be on the back of the cards too!
